Why use PowerBoost?

As your engine burns petrol or diesel fuel it makes soot - you can tell this by wiping the inside of your exhaust pipe.

This soot cakes not only the inside of your exhaust pipes but the valves, combustion chambers and exhaust manifold.

The heat from the engine also evaporates or burns some oil which can coat the pistons with what is called varnish.

All these deposits slow your engine down - it is well known that carbon deposits can absorb power and cause problems.

Although modern fuels and oils make de-coking less of an absolute necessity, carbon and varnish deposits still accumulate.

It is therefore a very good a idea to consider a de-coke if you can answer yes to any of these questions:

Has your engine done over 40,000 miles?

Do you spend long periods on choke and in traffic?

Do you do the school run or other short journeys regularly?

Has the car been left unused for long periods?

Does the engine oil need topping up between services?

Has poor quality petrol ever been regularly used?

Have you had to use petrol additives to improve octane?

Do you rarely use the full rev range of the engine through the gears?

Has the car ever been less than well maintained?

Does the engine pink or run-on after you turn it off?

Has the engine lost power since you first owned it?

Is it less responsive and harder to start than it used to be?
