With full product news and the latest developments download your pdf version here. 05/03/07 - The required standards for engine oil continue to rise as manufacturers stipulate longer and longer service intervals. Many trade and retail engine oils are not of a sufficiently high standard to cope for long enough - and many garages have to use oils that fulfil the OEM standards of Mercedes and BMW and these can be very costly (and difficult to get) - £10 a litre is not unheard of. More and more garages are turning to Ecotek 100 as a service pack for a basic synthetic oil - thus bringing it up to the high API and ACEA standards required. Remember the chemicals in the Ecotek 100 concentrate are made to last for at least 30,000 kms (18,000+ miles)! Some fake CB-26P's have come into our hands - we think from the Orient - you can tell by the fact that they are moulded and not machined (if the internals are not completely concentric then you've definitely got a fake - also there are lots of typo's in the instructions and no shatterproof perspex box). Apart from the fact that they might fall apart, aren't precise enough to work properly (the valve is moulded and wont seal correctly) and may well come loose; you aren't covered by the product liability insurance - so be sure to buy from a reputable source. A £20,000 test schedule has taken quite a bit of organising - as has a new-look web site and launching Ecotek 100 but you can be sure that there is even more to come! 11/02/05 - Kay and Kevin's superb XR3i Cabriolet featured in Fast Ford mag March issue is here - and yes a Chrome Combo completes the ensemble - click here for details (very droolworthy!!). 03/02/05 - Speed tests of the CB-26P today at Millbrook by Datron produced some results that stunned even the testers - one test car was nearly 20 metres ahead of its standard twin at 55 mph - once the results are written up they'll go straight on the site. 01/02/05 - Prodrive and Datron tests at Millbrook on the CB-26P are producing some VERY interesting results - a full analysis of the results should be available shortly after the tests are concluded at the end of this week. 24/01/05 - Ecotek 100 is proving a runaway success - many dealers are automatically adding at least half to oil changes for cars with 100,000 miles or more (and giving the remaining Ecotek 100 to the customer to add after 10,000 miles).
